Gray Moss

This gray moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In moorlands, In bogs, and In marshes.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is overwhelmingly rigid.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release millions of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
