It takes 2 months for the moss green stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are smooth and waxy.

The long, narrow, waxy leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are peach on the edges and crimson at the center, and have irregular edges.

It grows well in the sun and full shade.
