Heathland Emerald Moss

This lime green moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In heathlands.
It is average-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is extremely light.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release thousands of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.

Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
