Lime Tuft Grass

Grass type: Biennial (Sheds its leaves in winter)

This small, orange grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The thin stalks grow in sparse patches that are light and frail and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, lime tuft.

During the mid-autumn, it produces excessive amounts of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of small grains.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
It is slightly resistant to fire damage.
It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
