Speckledlime

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 499 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a narrow, twisting trunk covered in rough, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the very hard wood is pale brown.

The tangled mess of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with copious amounts of soft, small, broad, flat leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are lime and red.

In late summer it forms giant, olive, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
