Yellowtail Grass

This modest-sized, gray-green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The thin stalks grow in sparse patches that are robust and they are exceptionally hardy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, yellow tail.

During the early winter, it produces excessive amounts of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of small grains.
