Caramel Grass

This modest-sized, caramel grass grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The slender, pointed stalks grow in large clumps that are light and frail and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, violet spikelet.

During the early summer, it produces lots of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.
