Blueleaf Succulent

This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 15 feet (4.6 meters) tall. The perforated stem is lime green, and is covered in large amounts of rigid brilliant yellow spines. The stocky leaves are generally vivid blue. Small amounts of them grow on narrow, gray-green branches that are short, rigid and upright. The leaves are flimsy, but take some effort to detach.

It is very slow growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are generally beige; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour grow at the top, reappearing once every 10 years. The flower head is largely flat with 22 raised round-tipped petals. It has an intense scent that smells like glue.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the lilac flesh is waxy, and the light purple sap is thin.
