Giant Tanglevine

This huge vine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,881 feet (878.1 meters) and growing as high as 809 feet (246.6 meters).

It takes 19 years for the moss green stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 2.2 feet (66 cm) and are soft and flexible.

The stiff, pointed, fuzzy leaves reach up to 2.0 feet (61 cm) in length. They are violet and turquoise, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the vine produces thick bunches of tiny dark grey flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces excessive amounts of small fruits.
