Violet

This giant fruit tree grows up to 62 feet (18.9 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 68 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, straight trunk covered in thin, knobbly, light gray bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is black.

The sparse patches of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with small bunches of giant, slender, pointed leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of lilac that gradient shifts to slate at the top.

In early spring, it produces many clusters of large, violet blossoms with many layers of petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have an overpowering scent that smells like blood.

In late summer it produces tiny, spherical fruit. The crispy slate skin is peel-able and spicy and sour, and the crunchy gold flesh is extremely sour and powdery. The orange seed is tiny and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.
