Cream Spiral Moss

This cream moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In bogs, and On rotten logs.
It is big, growing up to 7 inches (18 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is overwhelmingly delicate; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
