Emerald Tear Moss

This red or blue moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In rainforests, In rainy mountain ranges, and On rotten logs.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is very frail; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release hundred of spores.
