Aquacone Pine

This large fruit tree grows up to 37 feet (11.3 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 50 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, curved trunk covered in hard, waxy, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the hard wood is light brown.

The branches are very short and thin and are covered with large amounts of tiny, fan-like leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are either florescent yellow or bronze, with silver lines.

In early spring, it produces many small, dark grey blossoms with spear shaped petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a soft scent that smells like cherry.

In mid-autumn it produces , needle-like fruit. The soft caramel skin is delicate and edible when roasted; it is sweet, and the crunchy pink flesh is sweet and sour and oily. The gold seed is large and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
