Silverpine

This big tree grows up to 89 meters (292.0 feet) tall and lives seemingly forever, with many known specimen being tens of thousands of years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, twisting trunk covered in cracked, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the very light wood is pale yellow.

The large clumps of branches trail down to the ground, with dozens of twigs covered with small bunches of miniature, silver needles. The needles themselves are robust.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, pink aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.
