Eternal Pine
Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its stem)This average-sized tree grows up to 23 meters (75.5 feet) tall and lives "forever", with many known specimens being tens of thousands of years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.
It has a branched, straight trunk covered in knobbly, mahogany-coloured bark, and inside, the very dense wood is pine-coloured.
The branches are short, rigid and upright, with hundreds of twigs covered with thick bunches of large, yellow needles. The needles themselves are flexible.
In late summer it produces large, black, shelled seeds.
The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
