Greenwood

Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its leaves)

This short tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for over 3,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 3587 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, curved trunk covered in hard, ridged, dark green bark, and inside, the dense wood is pale yellow.

The branches trail down across the ground, covered with small bunches of large, gray-green needles. The needles themselves are resistant.

In late summer it produces tiny, brown, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for use as a construction material
