Ambervine

This small tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 663 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a slender, slanted trunk covered in hard, rough, black bark, and inside, the very dense wood is brown.

The numerous branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with copious amounts of fuzzy, miniature, stiff, pointed leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are amber on the sides and muted yellow at the center.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, gold seed pods.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.
