Bluebell

This short caudiciform grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The asymmetrical stem is brown, and is covered in large amounts of rigid bold blue spines. It has a angular, wide, lime trunk atop a wide block of smooth, exposed roots. The branches are stumpy and pink-red and are very short and thin.

The smooth-edged, sickle shaped leaves are a shade of yellow that gradient shifts to indigo at the top. They are delicate, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is slow growing, taking 50 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are turquoise at the sides and hazel at the center grows at the top, reappearing once every 8 years. The flower head is largely flat with many tightly layered narrow petals. It has a strong scent that smells like apple.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the silver flesh is soft, and the lilac sap is thin.
