Magenta

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 89 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several narrow, slanted stems covered in delicate, silky, mahogany-coloured bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with small bunches of giant, spear shaped, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are found in magenta and vivid orange varieties, rigid and smooth.

It produces several tiny, white flowers with slender, pointed petals. They are hardy and have a delicate scent that smells like bonfire smoke. In early summer it forms tinybronze, tough-shelled seeds.
