Coppervine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 25 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several long and flexible, curved stems covered in very thick, knobbly, copper-coloured bark, and the wood inside is black.

The branches trail down across the ground that and are covered with sparse amounts of large, very thin, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are generally black, light and soft.

It produces several tiny, peach flowers with fan-like petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a powerful scent that smells like chocolate. In late summer it forms medium-sizedwhite, spiky-shelled seeds.

Ivy often grows along the trunk.
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
