Sunburst

This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) tall. Its florescent yellow and silver stems grow in bunches of 8 and are wispy and straight, and the tiny, gray and light brown leaves are flame-shaped with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Two giant flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 44 cm (17.3 inches) wide, with petals that are aquamarine at the sides and violet at the center. The flower head is made up of 47 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight bowl. They are sturdy.

It has a strong scent that smells like baby powder, and it has very little pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is also visited by some specific types of insect.
