Copper

This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 60 feet (18.3 meters) tall. The tapering stem is copper, and is covered in handfuls of flexible caramel spines. It has a wavy, round, orange trunk atop a wide platform of silky, exposed roots. The branches are thick and yellow-green and are short, rigid and upright.

The smooth-edged, pleated leaves are either vivid blue, or slate with blood red splotches. They are robust, and easily come away when pulled.

It is fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with alternating petals of turquoise and amber, with a light purple central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 35 curved petals. It has a powerful scent that smells like alcohol.

The caudiciform's skin is extremely thick, the white flesh is slimy, and the green sap is thin.
