Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 16 feet (4.9 meters) tall and lives for up to 40 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 57 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in fine, silky, burgundy bark, and inside, the flexible wood is pale brown-grey.

The abundance of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with large amounts of huge, very thin leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are subtle blue on the edges and yellow at the center.

In early spring, it produces dozens of large, ashy green blossoms with kidney-shaped petals. They are hardy and have the faintest scent that smells like fish.

In mid-summer it produces , long, curved fruit. The fuzzy olive skin is peel-able and edible when cooked; it is salty and sour, and the very soft turquoise flesh is sweet and juicy. The deep red seed is tiny and is in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It only grows on the most fertile lands.
The leaves are high in natural sugars.
It is suitable for making strong rope
