Violet Creeper

This average-sized creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 35 feet (10.7 meters) and growing as high as 88 feet (26.8 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 22 months for the yellow stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are smooth and waxy.

The slender, pointed, leathery leaves reach up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) in length. They are green and beige, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces hundreds of small violet flowers.
