Emerald Grass

This small, emerald grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The long, narrow stalks grow in sparse patches that are resilient and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, black spikelet.

During the late summer, it produces a fair amount of pollen; it can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a few large grains.
