Indigo Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This small leaf succulent grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is silver and pastel red, and is covered in large amounts of rigid orange spines. The tattered-edged, wispy leaves are drab purple and indigo. Sparse amounts of them grow from the base in alternating layers of 2, then 4, then 6, and so on. The leaves are light, but easily come away when pulled.

It is very slow growing, taking 9 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with light brown petals on the lower layer and brown petals decorated with caramel dots on the inner layer. The central disk is olive grow at the top, reappearing once every 10 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 15 petals. It has a powerful scent that smells like lemon.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the cream flesh is soft, and the peach sap is thin.


It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
