Yellowtwig

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized tree grows up to 37 meters (121.4 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 138 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in thin, rough, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the dense wood is pale yellow.

The small handful of branches are very long and thin and are covered with large amounts of fuzzy, huge, oval-shaped leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are either caramel or cream, with turquoise dots.

In early spring, it produces thick bunches of medium-sized, dull yellow blossoms with heart-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have an overpowering scent that smells like rotten eggs.

In late summer it forms large, brown seed pods.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.

It is very resistant to fire damage.
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
