Burgundy Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In heathlands, and In bogs.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is slightly delicate; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release millions of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
