Bluebell Fruit Tree

This small fruit tree grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 43 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, curved trunk covered in very thick, rough, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the soft wood is burgundy-brown.

The sparse amount of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with sparse amounts of large, long, narrow leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are white and white.

In early spring, it produces lots of tiny, olive blossoms with perforated petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a soft scent that smells like old shoes.

In early summer it produces , pleated fruit. The smooth brown skin is stretchy and inedible, and the soft blue flesh is sweet and sticky. The white seed is very large and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
