Golden Glow Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 445 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, angular trunk covered in hard, waxy, dark gray bark, and inside, the very hard wood is yellow-brown.

The small handful of branches are short stubs and are covered with small bunches of rough, tiny, finger-like leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are gold and orange.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, green, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
It has impressive regenerative properties.
It is bio-luminescent.
It is suitable for making paper
