Purple Leaf Succulent

This big leaf succulent grows up to 92 feet (28.0 meters) tall. The fan-like stem is moss green, and is covered in thousands of fine, light brown, hair-like spines. The rounded leaves are either pastel purple or purple, with dark yellow splotches. Large amounts of them grow on round, silver branches that are short, rigid and upright. The leaves are flexible, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is very fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with petals that are pastel purple on the edges and aquamarine at the center grows at the top, reappearing after 6 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a dish made up of 11 widely spaced, round-tipped petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like varnish.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the lime flesh is smooth, and the hazel sap is thin.
