Caramel Grass

Grass type: Biennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small, orange grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The wispy stalks grow in thick clumps that are flexible.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, caramel spikelet.

During the late autumn, it produces a modest amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of giant grains.

It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
The sap causes severe rashes
