Goldenfruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 20 feet (6.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 35 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 54 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a wide, twisting trunk covered in delicate, silky, yellow bark, and inside, the light wood is burgundy.

The large clumps of branches are long and thin and are covered with large amounts of huge, stiff, pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of green that gradient shifts to light grey at the top.

In early spring, it produces several medium-sized, brilliant orange blossoms with pleated petals. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like pineapple.

In mid-autumn it produces small, cuboid fruit. The leathery aquamarine skin is delicate and inedible, and the slightly crunchy olive flesh is sweet and oily. The crimson seeds are large and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
