Violet Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This small leaf succulent grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The very thin stem is silver, and is covered in many flexible caramel spines. The slender leaves are either violet or florescent purple, with bronze splotches. Small amounts of them grow on stocky, dark brown and gray branches that trail down across the ground. The leaves are rigid, and take some effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with alternating petals of green and dark brown, with an olive central disk grow at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is shaped like a tube with 7 raised, round-tipped petals. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like fresh linen.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the aquamarine flesh is sticky, and the purple sap is thin.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
