Ember Moss

This orange moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas On rotten logs, In moorlands, and On trees.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is overwhelmingly flexible.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
