Orangevine

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small fruit tree grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 24 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in thin, silky, dark green bark, and inside, the very light wood is light brown.

The large clumps of branches are very short and thick and are covered with very large amounts of huge, long, tapering leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of orange that gradient shifts to cream at the top.

In early spring, it produces many bunches of medium-sized, white blossoms with fan-like petals. They fall easily and have an intensely strong scent that smells like a woman.

In early autumn it produces tiny, broad, flat fruit. The waxy orange skin is thin and inedible, and the very soft azure flesh is sour and powdery. The drab orange seeds are large and are located in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
