Bloodvine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This average-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 33 feet (10.1 meters) and growing as high as 134 feet (40.8 meters).

It takes 6 months for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are rough and gnarled.

The needle-like, crispy leaves reach up to 1.3 feet (38 cm) in length. They are found in brown, blood red and orange varieties, and have wavy edges.

The leaves have medicinal properties.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
