Olive
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 14 feet (4.3 meters) and growing as high as 134 feet (40.8 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.
It takes 3 months for the gray stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are rough and gnarled.
The wide, smooth leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are found in olive and vibrant green varieties, and have toothed edges.
During late spring, the bine produces dozens of small light brown flowers.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
