Hazelgrass

This small, gray grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The spear shaped stalks grow in sparse patches that are light and frail and they are exceptionally hardy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, hazel tail.

During the early winter, it produces a modest amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of giant grains.
