Magenta Leaf Succulent

This colossal leaf succulent grows up to 134 feet (40.8 meters) tall. The perforated stem is green, and is covered in handfuls of fine, dark brown, hair-like spines. The slender leaves are generally muted purple. Small amounts of them grow on thin, emerald branches that are short, rigid and upright. The leaves are sturdy, and take some effort to detach.

It is very slow growing, taking 38 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with sky blue petals and a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a cube made up of 15 raised, round-tipped petals. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like bleach.

The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the bold red flesh is smooth, and the magenta sap is thin.
