Silvergrass

Grass type: Biennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short, silver grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The long, tapering stalks grow in sparse patches that are flexible and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, hazel flower.

During the mid-summer, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of small grains.

The seeds are toxic to people but not to certain animals.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
