Bluegrass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small, lime green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The finger-like stalks grow in sparse patches that are flexible and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, intense blue spikelet.

During the late summer, it produces a modest amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of small grains.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
