Grayvine

This big bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 401 feet (122.2 meters) and growing as high as 77 feet (23.5 meters).

It takes 23 months for the gray-green stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 7 inches (18 cm) and are thick and twisted.

The needle-like, smooth leaves reach up to 3.0 feet (91 cm) in length. They are red and slate, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the bine produces dozens of tiny yellow flowers.
