Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its leaves)

This short tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for over 2,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 2177 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, crooked trunk covered in delicate, smooth, brown and grey bark, and inside, the very hard wood is yellow.

The branches are very long and thick, with thousands of twigs covered with sparse amounts of small, olive needles. The needles themselves are flexible.

In late summer it produces giant, intense red, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
