Redtail grass
Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This enormous, red grass grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The wispy stalks grow in thick clumps that are prone to bending and snapping under stress.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, silver tail.
During the late summer, it produces excessive amounts of pollen; it can can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of large grains.
It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
