Emerald vine

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 47 feet (14.3 meters) and growing as high as 62 feet (18.9 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 16 months for the emerald stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are thick and twisted.

The pleated, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are violet and green, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the vine produces many large caramel flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces copious amounts of very large fruits.
