Bluebell Bush

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 95 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many flexible, angular stems covered in cracked, brown-green speckled bark, and the wood inside is pale brown-grey.

The branches are short stubs with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of tiny, long, tapering, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in green, peach and green varieties, resistant and fuzzy.

It produces many clusters of medium-sized, sky blue flowers with 8 pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have an intense scent that smells like sweat. In mid-summer it forms largedeep yellow, tough-shelled seeds.
