Turquoise Succulent

This large leaf succulent grows up to 84 feet (25.6 meters) tall. The very thin stem is hazel and beige, and is covered in sharp spines. The jagged-edged, kidney-shaped leaves are cream on the edges and turquoise at the center. Handfuls of them grow from the base in a random bunch. The leaves are resistant, and easily come away when pulled.

It is fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid slate petals decorated with blue lines and a deep orange central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 6 years. The flower head is shaped like a sphere with 28 raised, narrow petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like onion.

The leaf succulent's skin is rock-hard, the caramel flesh is slimy, and the amber sap is thin.
