Aquamarine Petal

This small flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its green stems grow in bunches of 7 and are very thin with a curved tip, and the large, gray-green leaves are thick with jagged edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

A single giant flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with petals that are aquamarine in the center, dark grey in the middle and caramel at the edges. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 10 curved petals. They detach easily.

It has a strong scent that smells like glue, and it has lots of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
