Pink Spined Caudiciform
Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short caudiciform grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The thick stem is lime green, and is covered in lots of flexible pink spines. The angular, beige trunk can grow to as much as 1 foot (30.5 cm) in diameter at the bottom. Its emerald branches trail down to the ground and start growing three quarters of the way up the stem.
The small bunches of wavy-edged, broad, flat leaves are emerald with hazel tips. They are hardy, but take little effort to detach.
It is quick growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with petals that are bronze on the underside and yellow on the top grow at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight sphere. It has an intense scent that smells like warm milk.
The caudiciform's skin is thick, the white flesh is rough, and the peach sap is thin.
